What are the visiting hours for the hospital?

Our standard visiting hours are from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM in the morning, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the afternoon, and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the evening. However, exceptions can be made for critically ill patients or those in special care units with prior approval from the ward manager.

Do I need to book an appointment before visiting?

For emergencies, you do not need an appointment; our Emergency Department is open 24/7. However, for general consultations and specialized services (such as Dental, Eye, or Surgery), we highly recommend booking an appointment online or via phone to reduce your waiting time.

Does the hospital accept my health insurance?

Yes, Asamang SDA Hospital accepts the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) along with several private health insurance providers. Please bring your valid insurance card and a form of identification when visiting. For specific private insurance inquiries, kindly contact our billing department.

What should I bring for my first consultation?

For your first visit, please bring a valid national ID (Ghana Card), your health insurance card (if applicable), any previous medical records, x-rays, or test results related to your condition, and a list of your current medications. This helps our doctors provide the most accurate care.

How can I access my medical records?

Your medical records are highly confidential. To request a copy of your records, you must visit the hospital's records department in person with a valid ID and submit a formal request form. Records are typically processed and made available within 3 to 5 business days.

What emergency services do you provide?

Our Emergency Department provides 24-hour trauma and urgent care, including resuscitation, minor surgeries, orthopedic stabilization, and maternity emergencies. Our facility is equipped with a standby ambulance service and a dedicated emergency response team ready at all times.
